Catering Event Chef

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Loading and unloading of catering equipment from trucks and vans.
Directs on site team in the Efficient production of menu items for events based on direction from a BEO (Banquet Event Order) or specific direction from kitchen leaderships
Manage multiple production tasks from a prep sheet
Follow all cleaning and sanitization procedures and schedules
Adapt to an everchanging environment based on event volume and needs
Participate in good decision-making and problem solving when needed.
Work closely with a team of chefs, service staff and kitchen leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous Restaurant or Banquet cooking experience preferred
  • Previous Culinary Training Required
  • Ability to function and act independently
  • Ability to work well with people, in a team environment, and to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under short time constraints, and within
  • established deadlines.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Understand various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to follow directions, adapt quickly and make changes when needed.
  • Knowledge of fine dining, wine, and bartending a plus
  • Access to reliable transportation
